Well I took a little vacation from Cyberpunk to read Michael Stackpoles 3rd installment in the “Secret Atlas” series but I am back on track and have started Ian McDonald’s book River of Gods. Short background on this book - takes place in India in 2047 and takes a look at what future life would be like there.. Premise is cool and the writing is unusual. More as it happens.

Oooh! I should start that too! I just bought it (large format, soft-cover?) a week or so ago, I think…. Was looking at his work on wikipedia, wondering what the chronology of his work was, and right, Out on Blue Six was highly acclaimed in the early 90s and I couldn’t ever get into it. Seemed to start and stop that one a few times (must add to lists of books not finished, now that I recall that). But yeah, hearing some great buzz about his latest works. Premise seems inviting!
The book does not start strong for me.. I think he was playing with his writing style initially and that made it difficult to enjoy.. I am about 50% through the book and the book has a nice flow to it at this point.. worth the read so far..
