I think he was playing with his writing style initially and that made it difficult to enjoy.. Was looking at <a href="http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Ian_McDonald_%28author%29" rel="nofollow">his work on wikipedia</a>, wondering what the chronology of his work was, and right, Out on Blue Six was highly acclaimed in the early 90s and I couldn't ever get into it. Seemed to start and stop that one a few times (must add to lists of books not finished, now that I recall that). But yeah, hearing some great buzz about his latest works.
