Shadowrun Intellectual Property back in the hands of FASA founder

Posted on December 10, 2007 by Enoc

OK so this may mean that shadowrun is back in the hands of some who cares about it and it is now out of the clutches of the evil empire (Microsoft). Does this spell some hope for some more novels? No chatter on that yet but I really hope so. Check out Smith & Tinker.

Vernor Vinge’s Rainbows End – Free online

Posted on November 29, 2007 by Enoc

I know I must have read one of his books at one time but I just cannot remember which one. In any case Rainbows End seems like an intriguing read. In any case you can read his book for free if you like at http://vrinimi.org/rainbowsend.html. You can buy it as well if you are interested.

New Book – The Electric Church by Jeff Somers

Posted on November 15, 2007 by Enoc

Caught this review at blogcritics.org for a new book by Jeff Somers – The Electric Church. They are saying “The Electric Church, the latest book from Jeff Somers, is a gritty, cyberpunk masterpiece in the tradition of Snowcrash and Neuromancer.” Sounds good to me – ordered it at Amazon and I will give you a review when I have it read.

More Shadowrun Stories

Posted on November 7, 2007 by Enoc

I am did a little google search for shadowrun stories and I came up with this page that looks promising… The author “shapcano” also mentions some other shadowrun fiction that he thought was excellent on Winterhawk’s Virtual Magespace and DeckerM’s Shadowrun Page. I am going to book the sites on my iPhone and check them out when I get the opportunity.

Ok so I am not even done with River of Gods and I see this great review of Charles Stross’s new book Halting State and it really grabbed me. I am a big player of World Of Warcraft and have run a number of story lines through my head revolving around Massive Multiplayer Online Roleplaying Games… Read the review and let me know what you think…
