I love lists. Amazon lists, year-end lists, summer reading lists, winter reading lists, best-seller lists. I love them all. There’s so much good fiction out that it’s impossible to be aware of it all. So lists really help. We should start a list here! But until we do, SFSignal does a great job linking to various SF lists as demonstrated.

Caught this review at blogcritics.org for a new book by Jeff Somers – The Electric Church. They are saying “The Electric Church, the latest book from Jeff Somers, is a gritty, cyberpunk masterpiece in the tradition of Snowcrash and Neuromancer.” Sounds good to me – ordered it at Amazon

One of my favorite blogs is Gizmodo. They have an excellent interview with Rich Nagy who is the “top creator of custom Steampunk objects” around today. Check it out.
So PopMatters has an article on the post-cyberpunk movement. Um, I guess I should actually read these things before I go and post ’em here, but it’s like five pages long and I’ll read it over lunch and get back to you. But I did see reference to lots of authors, usual suspects….
For their 40th anniversary issue(s), Rolling Stone interviewed a bunch of famous folks. Yap, Eddie Vedder was one of them! Oh, whoops, wrong blog … I mean William Gibson!
I am did a little google search for shadowrun stories and I came up with this page that looks promising… The author “shapcano” also mentions some other shadowrun fiction that he thought was excellent on Winterhawk’s Virtual Magespace and DeckerM’s Shadowrun Page. I am going to book the sites on my iPhone and check them out when I get the opportunity.
