I vaguely recall the 90s effort of plopping Marvel superheroes into a cyberpunk future … looks like they’re at it again.

Charles Stross
A quick interview with Charles Stross in the Guardian yesterday. A pretty good take-way: “It turns out that the killer application for virtual reality is other human beings,” he says. “Build a world that people want to inhabit, and the inhabitants will come.”
William Gibson at Rolling Stone
For their 40th anniversary issue(s), Rolling Stone interviewed a bunch of famous folks. Yap, Eddie Vedder was one of them! Oh, whoops, wrong blog … I mean William Gibson!
Bruce Stirling Interview
Another one of the founding father’s of cyberpunk is the prolific writer Bruce Sterling. This is an interview from Locus once again. Interestingly in the picture on the left he is holding his mac laptop. That gives him some additional plus points in my book.
Walter Jon Williams Interview
The quote at the top of the home page is from pioneer cyberpunk writer Walter Jon Williams. There is an short interesting interview of him at Locus Magazine’s website which just happens to be Ling’s old stomping grounds ( I think he worked their for a couple of months as a gopher). Hardwired his 1986 novel is considered one of the first in the cyberpunk genre and is a good read.
Ian McDonald Interview
An interesting podcast interview of Ian McDonald over at small WORLD podcast. Presently digesting his book River of Gods which I will have to say is quite well done. Once that task is complete I will shift over to his new book Brasyl
which looks to be quite good as well. Of course I will publish my review of River of Gods
before I start the new book.
